Each of us has, on average, 60,000 thoughts per day- every day. It is a fact- scientifically researched and everything. Think about it- no pun intended.
How many thoughts just slide in and out without us being aware or conscious of them? Now, imagine if out of your 60,000 thoughts today- imagine if 59,987 are negative. Defeating, sad, angry, blaming, thoughts about lack, about not being good enough, how terrible your relationship is, how you never have fun, etc., etc., etc and so on. Whew- that many negative thoughts must make it difficult to get out of bed in the morning.
Now, what if every single thought that we have affects our physical body in some way? So what if those 59,987 thoughts that are negative are putting negativity into our bodies? Ouch.
On the other hand- what if we are very conscious of what we are thinking every moment and what if we are having 60,000 thoughts per day that are positive? What positive affect will that have on our body? Amazing.
A suggestion- keep two journals. One journal is for writing in your negative thoughts. One journal is for your positive thoughts. I’m not suggesting that we are able to catch all 60,000 thoughts but if we can be more aware and manage our thoughts better and change them into something more positive- just imagine how much better you will feel.
