I grow two Aloe Vera plants on the window sill in the kitchen. If you do get a burn-this is for small burns- then take a leaf of the Aloe Vera plant and break it open and take the sticky gel and put it on the area of the burn. This also works great for sunburn. If it is a serious burn then you will need to contact the emergency services.-J
The egg whites are also a miracle cure for burns, even severe ones. Soak or coat affected area in egg white. While the egg white is still wet you will feel no pain from the burn. As soon as it dries up the pain comes back so reapplication is necessary. This method not only alleviates the pain it actually heals and prevents scarring from the burn.

After a burn, the very first thing that you should do is to reduce the temperature of the burnt area. Put lots of chilled water or dip that body part into chilled water for 15 to 30 minutes.
Apply honey to the wound once you have washed the wound properly. It will prevent infection and will heal the wound.
Applying lavender oil is also found to be effective for burns.
As soon as you burn yourself liberally apply pure vanilla extract to the spot and you won't develop a blister or experience any pain. It is important you use pure vanilla not imitation.
