Mix a couple of teaspoons of salt with 1 cup of mildly hot water. Next, take a large swig of salt water, tilt your head backwards, and gargle it. Keep gargling for approximately 1 minute. Repeat three to five times when throat hurts.
Take regular size shot glass, fill half full of vinegar, half honey, and 1/2 teaspoonful of cayenne pepper. Warm it all up and swallow in one drink. In minutes your sore throat will be better.
Take Echinacea. This herb is antiviral and antibacterial; it speeds up the healing process and boosts the immune system.
Horseradish is another herb that many use in the kitchen but it also has excellent properties to treat sore throat and upper respiratory tract infections, reduces fever, and expels concentrations of mucus.
To relieve a sore throat pour 300mls of boiling water into a jug with a sliced lemon and a tablespoon of honey. Add a teaspoon of fresh sage if you have a headache or a half a teaspoon of ginger if you have a cold. Leave to cool and then strain. Take 2 teaspoons 3 times a day.
